CASE STUDIES

	In an attempt to provide customers with a wider set of features and in order to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, Tempus decided to undergo a major re-write for the UltraSys application by migrating to Java EE and JBoss Application Server. In the meantime Tempus signed-off a new contract with one of its major clients to launch new features based on the new platform. Technologies: JBoss
	C2B2 were engaged to assist and worked with IT-Freedom to identify, scope and deliver the following services: system review and health check for JBoss and Apache, install and configure monitoring including custom plug-in development, hands on system configuration and optimization, provision of best practices for configuration and testing. 	Metasphere needed to create a secure web services platform which exposed existing remote telemetry services written in C. The solution had to integrate with Windows Active Directory for authentication. Metasphere needed to expand their Java Enterprise capability to design and develop the system and establish environments for development, test and production. 	AGI engaged C2B2 to build aset of VMWare server images forming a production Tomcat cluster, Terracotta for web and hibernate 2nd level clustering and Hyperic for system monitoring. Technologies: Tomcat, Terracotta, Hyperic, Fedora Linux
	BEA engaged C2B2 to provide professional services consultancy to one of their Government clients. This included providing architectural reviews of key applications and undertaking a full performance study of a key operational system built on Weblogic 8.1. C2B2 have also provided short term consultancy for a number of other BEA clients including the DVLA, Fujitsu, Vodafone, O2, Capital One, EDS, Atos Origin and Inland Revenue. 	Atos Origin Engaged C2B2 to supply architecture consultancy and production support to a major WebLogic Integration installation. WLI is being used as the hub of an order processing system for a large Government department.Atos Origin engaged C2B2 to help with their implementation of a centralised federated portal for the Department of Transport using WebLogic Portal and remote WSRP Portlets. Atos chose C2B2 for our high level expertise with the BEA WebLogic Platform. Technologies: BEA Weblogic Portal
	Detica engaged C2B2 to provide WebLogic Server, Liferay portal and Java EE Security consultancy services. Detica were chosen by their client to implement a J2EE based application for a community of up to 1000 users. The application had to integrate with a number of the clients existing Java EE applications running on WebLogic Server 8.1. Technologies: WebLogic Server 8.1
	SWAT were selected by a FTSE 100 listed UK software company to implement and deploy a Oracle Service Bus (OSB) based ESB infrastructure for a customer facing SaaS project. PUBLISHING COMPANY	The Publishing Company was developing a new, web based commercial content delivery system, which will allow customers to purchase the ability to view content on specific topics. The Company requested that BEA Systems provide professional services support in order to sort out the problems with the portal. BEA selected C2B2 to attend the site on behalf of BEA Professional Services and provide WebLogic Portal consultancy. Technologies: WebLogic Portal 9.1, WebLogic Server
STATISTICAL AGENCY	The Statistical Agency has developed a new core data processing platform on top of a BEA WebLogic Server based infrastructure. The development of the application was outsourced to an off-shore IT development house. The Agency asked BEA Systems to provide professional services consultancy in order to perform a three day pre-production review of the deployment environment. C2B2 were selected by BEA to perform this work. Technologies: WebLogic Server 8.1
GLOBAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANY	Global Telecommunications Company is developing a mission critical application which provides services for provisioning new mobile phones. This application must be available 24/7 and will be deployed in a disaster recovery configuration spanning two data centres. The company called upon BEA to configure the production and preproduction environment and provide detailed installation guides to ensure that Global Telecommunications Company's administrators would be able to reproduce the configuration when required. GOVERNMENT SERVICES COMPANY	Government Services Company was migrating an application from PowerTier application server to JBoss Application Server, and required performance tuning and problem solving consultancy. Red Hat engaged C2B2 to provide consultancy on their behalf in order to tune the application server and application, and ensure that the project went live on time. Technologies: JBoss AS
